MACS offers First-Of-Its-Kind Certificate Training
Last month, MACS launched its new program, MCTI, featuring hands-on labs, live instruction, and assessments about the best practices in the industry. Technicians learned from top instructors while they established real world skills as they participated in hands-on training alongside industry experts.

Throughout the course, participants learned about refrigerants, lubricants, leak detection, service procedures, system testing, and refrigerant recovery. Attendees circulated through stations where they were able to test compressors, perform leak detections practices, complete refrigerant recovery procedures, and diagnose faulty air conditioning systems as a real world scenario.
An electric Ford F-150 Lightening and a hybrid Chevrolet Volt were used in training which provided the participants exposure to technologies that have become more common to vehicle fleet. A student enrolled in the 4- Year Heavy Duty program reinforced advantages of MCTI, “We have to keep up with the most recent technology and standards, and this is an excellent way to do that.”
We would like thank our instructors as we couldn’t have done this without the knowledge from them: Kerry Gray, Peter McArdle, Tony Martin, Al McAvoy, Scott Norman, Peter Orlando, Agnes Perez, Matt Stoia, MaryJo VandenBrink, and Jim Wilson. Thank you to Pittsburg State University for hosting us.
With the success of our first launch, we are excited to share that MCTI will be offered at MACS 2027 Annual Conference. If you missed us in Kansas, join us in Savannah, Georgia!
We would like to thank our sponsors who helped us achieve this milestone:
