Electrical Troubleshooting – Master The ONE Technique You MUST Know To Succeed w/ Peter Meier (3 hours)
8:30am-11:30am & 1:15-4:15pm (repeats in the afternoon)
“As Lex Luthor is to Superman, and the Joker is to Batman, electrical faults are the arch enemy of most technicians. Even the most accomplished among us often tremble in nervous anticipation of tackling an electrical diagnosis. Fear no more – help is here!
Motor Age’s Pete Meier has helped techs around the country develop confidence in their ability to troubleshoot electrical faults properly and efficiently. “The key”, says Meier, “is to first ensure that you have a solid understanding of how and why electrical circuits work. Most of the techs I’ve helped are trying to build on a weak foundation – and that isn’t going to happen.” Meier goes on to say that, once the foundation is solid, mastering one key testing technique will allow a tech to quickly identify what kind of fault he/she is facing and where the fault is located. Want to go from apprehensive to confident? Make plans now to attend this presentation!”

Section 609 Certification Prep Class & Test w/ Steve Schaeber (2-3 hours)
1:15-4:15pm
(This is optional. Pre-registration is required)
Join MACS for a Section 609 test prep class for refrigerant handling training and certification. The class will take approximately 90 minutes. At the end of the class, technicians will take a test to become Section 609 certified to work on vehicles using R-12, R-134a and R-1234yf refrigerant.

The Clean Air Act of 1990 requires technicians to be certified in handling refrigerants. Properly disposing of refrigerants helps protect people and the environment from harm. Without correctly recovering and recycling refrigerant, dangerous health risks are posed to humans and the global climate. An EPA 609 Certification allows industry professionals to understand and stay compliant with EPA guidelines in handling and disposing of refrigerants.
