Installation Facility Manager

Reports To: Technical Services Manager

Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of installation operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manages 4 or more employees at the High Point, NC installation facility. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees.  Planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Plans installation operations, establishing priorities and sequences for installation in primarily Thomas School Bus products.
  • Will need to physically perform installs and/or repairs to a bus
  • Prepares installation schedules and coordinates installation activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews monthly installation reports (warranty and profitability) to ensure efficiency and quality of installation services.
  • Reviews and approves weekly payroll reports.
  • Ensure all employees work with a safety mindset and adhere to all company policies
  • Move/Operate/Shuttle buses in a safe manner
  • Properly maintain company owned tools and equipment
  • Maintain quality control during the installation process and adherence to the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System standard.
  • Handle all warranty responses in a timely manner
  • Responsible for receiving, gathering, pickup/delivery and disposal of all parts and materials utilized in the installation process. While managing any discrepancies, shortages, or overages
    • As well as interfacing with the companies therein
  • Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources Manager and Technical Services Manager for action.
