The Mobile Air Climate Systems Association is proud to present our newest certificate training program, MCTI: MACS Certified Training Intensive. This new training offers technicians a chance to learn from top instructors in the classroom, while also participating in hands-on training with industry experts in the shop.
Based on MACS J2845 Mobile A/C Best Practices, this course describes the recommended practices and procedures for service and repair of MVAC systems in passenger cars and light trucks.
Major subjects include:
- A/C systems, refrigerants, properties, lubricants and additives
- Unique fittings, labels, desiccants and cylinders
- Refrigerant identification, testing and leak detection
- Service tools, equipment and procedures
- Final system tests after service or repair

Prerequisite:
Students must be MACS Section 609 Certified prior to completing this course (before the MCTI certificate will be issued). Students are encouraged to fulfill this requirement online through the MACS website PRIOR to attending class in August.
After signing up for the course, a MACS 609 webinar and test will be added to the student’s account.
