The Mobile Air Climate Systems Association is proud to partner with PSU to present our newest certification program, MCTI: MACS Certified Training Intensive. This new training offers technicians a chance to learn from top instructors in the classroom, while also participating in hands-on training with industry experts in the shop.
Based on MACS J2845 Mobile A/C Best Practices, this course describes the recommended practices and procedures for service and repair of MVAC systems in passenger cars and light trucks.
Major subjects include:
- A/C systems, refrigerants, properties, lubricants and additives
- Unique fittings, labels, desiccants and cylinders
- Refrigerant identification, testing and leak detection
- Service tools, equipment and procedures
- Final system tests after service or repair
Hands-on training topics include:
- real-world diagnostics
- electrical
- leak detection
- retrofitting A/C systems
- refrigerant handling
