The heater core, which looks like a mini-radiator, is located inside the passenger compartment and is quite often very deeply buried under the instrument panel. When you choose heat on your climate control knob that tells either a valve or door to open and when the hot coolant flows through the heater core’s internal tubes air from the blower fan moves through it to warm the interior of the vehicle.
