Six things to remember when changing cooling system components

To replace any of the coolant system components, the system usually must be drained, the old part removed, the new part installed, the coolant replaced, the system bled of any trapped air and then checked for leaks.
The specific procedures for replacing each component on any vehicle is described in the service manual, and the instructions should be followed carefully to insure proper repair.
When having your mobile A/C system professionally serviced, insist on proper repair procedures and quality replacement parts. Insist on recovery and recycling so that refrigerant can be reused and not released into the atmosphere.
