Modern Automotive HVAC: Electrical and Electronic Systems– The purpose of this book is to educate the reader about the importance of the electrical system in relation to the HVAC system. Often a technician will install refrigeration-related components, only to find that the compressor clutch will not engage, or the cooling fans will not operate. This book will cover the fundamentals of electricity, required test equipment and test procedures. It will also address the electronics utilized in HVAC systems, including the inputs from the power train electronics that affect A/C operation.
