Are you using the correct lubricating oil for a hybrid compressor?

Did you know that electric motor driven compressors used on hybrid and electric vehicles require a very special type of lubricating oil? And they don’t all call for the same type.

Not using it can lead to compressor failures, A/C system shutdown, and under certain circumstances, even danger to a technician. Always make sure to install the compressor manufacturer’s recommended type of oil when servicing one of these systems.

When having your mobile A/C system professionally serviced, insist on proper repair procedures and quality replacement parts. Insist on recovery and recycling so that refrigerant can be reused and not released into the atmosphere.
